New Wave Pier Dog Run: Repairs in progress

Kona here, reporting to you from the East River Esplanade’s New Wave Pier! Repairs to the damaged dog run kicked off early this week! Plans are to get the small dog running open tomorrow and the both dog runs open by this Sunday!
The team at NYC Parks are on the case, with most of the fence work started and more to come tomorrow! In addition to replacing the broken benches and gates, NYC Parks will add a temporary barrier (with plans with something more permanent later).
Meanwhile, AllKB has dismantled one of our sheds that was severely damaged. It housed all the cleaning and gardening tools for Glick Park. Meanwhile, NYC Park was generous to allot space to store our tools at the nearby St. Vartan’s Park building while we procure a new shed. Hopefully, we’ll get a new shed and replace broken tools before Earth Day.
