Dog Run Initial Designs

This is a top-down view of the site. Below is a satellite shot of where the proposed dog park will be installed.

What’s in the design?

The design from NYC Parks includes an “all dog run” and a “small dog run” section. Each section, “all dog run” and “small dog run”, will have its own corral area. Corral areas are double gates, you’ve seen in other dog parks, which helps manage the exit/entry of dogs into the dog run. And along the existing fencing will have range fencing to help fill in the gaps.

NYC Parks features will include:

  • Benches (roughly 6)
  • A couple of trash cans

Some items that are not provided by NYC Parks are:

  • Rain barrels, by the ESCR, for water supply
  • Tool shed and supplies will need to come from donations
    • Dog bag dispensers & bags
    • Tools like brooms, shovels, hand-truck/dolly to help with maintenance

How Can I Help?

We need help from our communities and businesses to help fund and vounteer.

  • You can help by donating to AllKB
  • Volunteer to help with the maintenance of the park
    • List of volunteers will help demonstrate to elected officials and agencies our neighborhood’s commitment to see this temporary run turn permanent
  • Reach out to your elected officials showing your support
  • Share in the communication effort
    • Print and provide hand-outs to your neighbors and local businesses
